Lets be clear, Christmas is not cancelled; the office Christmas Party can still go ahead!
It was not the year we were expecting.
Most of us are limping a little towards the happy end of 2020; in a month usually filled with frolicking and fun, we are instead planning bubbles and a smaller turkey this year.
However, this is not the time to simply wipe out Christmas. Like the rest of the year, we need to adapt, flex and find a solution….
If you can’t get together with the team this Christmas; how about you consider some of these ideas for your annual Christmas bash!
- Online Escape Room
Get the team together and trying to escape! Escape rooms like most leisure businesses have pivoted their service and can now offer interactive events online. Great way to get the team working together and doing something different for Christmas.
2. Online Christmas cook off!
Get a chef involved! This is a super way to get your whole team involved in an activity. Ingredient’s are delivered beforehand; the chef controls the room, and everyone gets to cook along (with a glass of wine). Then together you can all share your results. Like a bake off for your business!
3. Make them laugh.
We all need a chuckle after this year. Comedy clubs are NOT closed. You can hire them online for any size event. Send the fizz to your teams homes, and all settle down for a night of laughing with some outstanding comics. Check out 99 Comedy Club.
4. The Great Christmas Quiz.
If lockdown one gave your team a taste for quizzes, then end the year with a superb one! These guys have some great festive knowledge quizzes – have a look here.
5. Murder Mystery
Who doesn’t need to end the year killing one of their team! Well, lets pretend to anyway. I love a good murder mystery night, so this would be right up my street. You will get your role in advance and then you can take some time really getting into character! For inspiration and ideas check out these guys.
6. Make it a black tie event.
Send the team the ingredients they need to make some amazing cocktails, hire in a bartender for the night, and spend the evening mixing and drinking some incredible drinks – be warned, this one could get messy!
Have a great festive period!
