Signet raises money for Charity

News from Signet - 6th September 2013

The office is over flowing with fitness at the moment.  Two members of our resourcing team are about to ditch their ties for much more fashionable Lycra and get out running and cycling to raise money for some fantastic charities.

James is about to tie up his laces and run to the beat, taking on London’s newly famous half marathon to raise money for Leukemia and Lymphoma Research.  Blood cancers affect over 30,000 people each year and in running 13.1 miles James is hoping to make a difference and raise much needed funds.

You can sponsor James on his Justgiving page and find out more about his cause.  We wish James all the best and hope his legs can manage the stairs on Monday.

Our second athelete of the moment is Ian,  Ian has the condition Ceoliac Diease and he is cycling from London to Brighton to raise awareness and pennies to support others suffering with the diease.

You can find out more and sponsor Ian here.  Again, the office sends an abundance of good luck, and we will be really impressed if you cycle home afterwards!

Both events take place in the next couple of weeks, so please give generously!

If our team have motivated you to get out and do something energetic for charity then have a look at Charity Choice, who may be able to provide some inspiration.

Some great blogs to read include Andy on the Mountain who has climbed the great Mt Kilomanjaro, our consultant Jane, who ran the London Marathon in 2011. Plus PR executive, Holly, ran her first triathlon this year and her blog is inspiring to any looking to start training.

Good luck to the Signet chaps.
